A Passion Project
Dwarven King is a 3 to 5 player board game.
The goal is to claim and retrieve the crown from the middle of the board.
“There hasn’t been a Dwarven King since the Crown was lost in the Valley of Kings, where powerful Giants now guard it. Without that crown unification of all Dwarven Clans is impossible. You – a Dwarven Lord of one of the Dwarven Clans - have set your sights on this Crown. Increase your powers, lead your champions to battle and retrieve it!”

About Me
Welcome, my name is Lennart.
Since the beginning of ‘25, I find myself once again completely immersed in the world of boardgame design. And I’m having a blast!
The idea of DwarvenKing goes back many years (13+) and while at the time I did create a prototype, it was fraught with issues. Unable to find ways to overcome these issues, I shelved the game. Though I meticulously stored the early version and manual hoping a future me would find solutions that would smooth out the playerexperience.
Now in 2025, I’m giving it another shot. It is truly wonderful to see my new ideas not only materialize but also being subjected to the scrutiny of players. This is quickly turning into a study of human behavior and I’m all for it! I’m learning a lot and each play session comes with a load of new insights making DwarvenKing better and more balanced.
